- These Iron Strap Hinges are made in two different types of iron:
- Rough, with an uneven surface which imitates naturally weathered ironwork
- Smooth
- Three tip designs are available:
- Hinges have removeable pins and reversible pads for full-surface or half- surface applications.
- Matte Black finish carries a lifetime warranty for outside use
- Available in several lengths from 9" to 20-1/2"
- Mounting Screws are black, 1-1/4" x #12 with pyramid head, combination Philips/slotted
- Weight rating depends on gauge (thickness - see Table below). When using three hinges -
- .120" hinges: up to 90 pounds on a 1-3/8" thick x 32" wide door
- .155" hinges: up to 175 pounds on a 1-3/4" thick x 36" wide door
- Pad size (the pad is the rectangular leaf of the hinge) also depends on gauge:
- .120" hinges have pad 1-3/8" wide x 3-1/8" high
- .155" hinges have pad 2" wide x 4" high
